Job Details
Division – Rand Plant
Type of Employment – Permanent
Location – Port Elizabeth
Reports To – Workshop Manager
Purpose of Position – To provide general office and administrative support. Duties include filing, data capturing, record keeping and assisting with day-to-day office tasks. Ensuring compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures and workshop requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience in an administrative role – preferably in a plant or machinery environment
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in English – Afrikaans proficiency will be advantageous
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work independently and under pressure
Key Responsibilities
- Handle correspondence (emails/phone calls) with suppliers
- Perform general admin tasks
- Capturing job cards
- Booking accommodation and arranging living out allowances
- Maintain workshop stock and consumables
- Submit overtime sheet for mechanics
- Weekly and monthly tracker reports
- Performing any other functions requested by management
